August 2013 | Great place to stay, We were there with 2 other families and we all had a great time. a busy weekend but a great one. The people that run this campground are great!. Very accomodating. Great park for kids and close to everything. |

June 2013 | We had a wonderful time camping here for the Canada Day long weekend the staff are friendly and very helpful. The playground was nice and I liked the fact that there was a fence around it so the little ones were not able to run onto the road. The only thing was some people didn't follow the posted speed limit signs. All in all was awesome we have already booked for the September long weekend. See you soon River Grove Campground. |

July 2011 | We wanted to stay in Drumheller on a camping trip to Banff. Drumheller is a wonderful little town with fun things to do, RIVER GROVE IS NOT ONE OF THEM!
1. They advertise rabbits on their web site, they are in a cage and kids are not allowed to touch.
2. We phoned in our reservations. I asked for power, sewer and water. When we got there we got a 15 amp site with no sewer. I was not asked what amp I wanted for my site when I made the reservation. Drumheller is hot in the summer, we couldn't run a/c. We did get water, but the water smelt like sewer water. I had to sanitize my hands after using it. The smell never went away. GROSS!
3. There is a playground for young kids,at the opening of the campground. There is traffic constantly going in and out on either side of the playground. Not safe for children.
4.Pay showers, $1 for 5 min. after paying nearly $40 for a "full service" site.
5. We requested a 30amp site for our return trip. I called a few days later. They said there was no cancellations and couldn't accommodate us. I tried to cancel the reservation and was told I couldn't because the reservation was within 7 days....wtf?!
The woman, short, older 58ish with black hair and smoked, was so obnoxious about this. I was so mad at this point. She was blunt and rude. Nowhere on their website did it post the cancellation policy.
Bottom line, do not stay at this campground. If you like rude, unaccommodating and greedy customer service then this is the place for you. |

June 2011 | I have to say that this is one of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed at. Staying here during Canada day long weekend made the whole trip the best that it could be, from the parade in town to the rest of the festivities to the great people of Drumheller made it all awesome. We will come back to stay at river grove anytime we think of coming out this way, the people are great the site is clean, the kids had a great time, the parks for the kids are fun and for young kids for a change, the bathrooms, showers and campsite were in great shape and very clean.
We will make sure everyone that this was the best time had by our whole entire family. great job River Grove campground.. and to Drumheller as well. |
