June 2013 | We pulled into this campground and we were appalled at the condition of this campsite. Their website made it look so nice. None of the sites were ready for anybody to camp, the grass was about 4 feet high thru out the whole campground. They said their lawnmower broke down and so they weed wacked a site for us. The swimming pool hadn't been is use for at least five years. The bathroom was disgusting, the one shower stall they had , had about 2 inches deep of dead moths, flies, etc. There was no concession stand, the office was in a garage. My husband went to pull around to get into this site, and he got the trailer hooked up onto boulders which we didn't know were there as you couldn't see them for the tall grass and weeds. Finally after an hour we got out, and we couldn't get out of there fast enough. This place really needs to take down the sign on the highway. It makes it look like a 5 star. What a joke. We found camping elsewhere but this so called resort was like driving into "bates Motel" Creepy. |
