Over all -Norms is a great location to camp at. The owners are great and they keep it extreamly clean. We are regulars and stay here 2-3 times a year.

They book up extreamly fast. They are very popular and i'd guess that 80% of the people booking are regulars.A lot of people book a year in advance. You can't have that kind of loyalty and business if you are grumpy or mean. The kindness of the owners is imo what keeps so many coming back. Come on a long weekend and take part in the potluck pig roast and see the friendly almost family atmosphere and you will understand what keeps people coming back. (not to mention the owners out of this world roasted pig) They do not put up with any crap in their grounds,Cause problems and your out of there. That is another reason people keep comming back...peace. The wood you get is generous and fair priced. They have great bathrooms, awesome showers, great rental suites for a good price, a nice doc that is great to fish from or doc your boat too. The sites are smallish, but very well maintained and they have sites to fit every type of trailer. The new sites across the road are open and quite bare, the owners have planted trees - but they take time to grow.

If there are cons i'd say it is this... One side is very close to the boatlaunch, so can be noisy mid morn and late eve. On the otherside of the campground is closer to the highway and when busy can be noisy. But, IF you are about boating and fishing...which a lot who stay there are - this is the best of both worlds.

I would highly recomend Norms. It's location is good for Fishing, boating, going into town or driving around the area playing tourist.

PRO'S: The site itself is clean and quiet with access to a boat launch right next door.

CON'S: Absolutely NO privacy with each individual spot is REALLY close together, almost pass your sugar through the window to your neighbour close. You are RIGHT beside the highway and VERY close to the airport..The "camp ground" is on what seems to be someones personal home and looks like they have divided their own yard up into cramped over stuffed parking lot. There was a guy that was in charge of camp site maintenance and WOW he was the most arrogant, rude, egotistical man. He ALONE is the reason I will not be back to this location! He was walking around like a man on a mission, touching peoples personal property and throwing personal property around, making up his own rules as he went and yelling at the campers. Please keep in mind, this is a quiet camp site and all campers in our area were following ALL of the half page long rules provided at check in. There were no drunks, no loud people, just mellow couples enjoying the quiet evening. He was even accusing campers of bothering the tree's, because of fallen leaves and branches on the ground from wind and late August fall weather which were all over the camp site. It was really shocking and dumb founding.. Rest assured I will be telling my family and friends NOT to go here. I would be checking around for other camping spots if I were you...
