| There is a lot to explore here, the Upper and Lower Kananaskis lakes are located nearby. Both lakes have very nice picnic areas with picnic tables located close to the lakes edge. The Upper Kananaskis Lake has a well groomed hiking trail around the entire lake that offers beautiful views of Mount Lyautey, Mount Sarrail, Mount Foch and Mount Fox. |

Season: mid May - Thanksgiving.
Dry firewood is available here for a fee. This is Bear country, food and food related items must be stored properly. There are several trails located in the area along with an extensive scenic paved bike path system. You can ride a bike around this entire area.

There are 130 large, well treed campsites. The campground fills fast on weekends due to it's close proximity to the City of Calgary. This campground offers campsites for both tents and larger RV's, amphitheatre, pay telephone, showers, picnic tables, fire pits, flush toilets, water, paved bike paths and interpretive hiking trails. |
