| All Comments and Ratings [5 / 5] August 2014 | Review for Lakeview campground (previous review submitted was for Brewer's)
Lakeview is a great campground if you're camping with other people and don't mind seeing other trailers. There are 2-3 rows of stalls separated by high trees in each loop. There are a bunch of double sites, and many pull through ones. Lakeview has services (Brewer's has none), so that is an advantage, but Brewer's is more private and treed-in, so you have to pick what's more important to you.
There is a private beach to the campground, a few playgrounds, and free (!) showers, although they were really small. Generally quiet, but as you back right on to your neighbours with few trees in between you do have noise from neighbours. I would pick Brewer's with a generator over Lakeview for short trips, but the convenience of power (and maybe water/sewer) is nice for longer trips. |
[5 / 5] August 2015 | We love this campground! We have stayed twice for a full week, and another weekend in the last year. It is fairly busy so you would think there would be a lot of noise but it is not a problem. Nicely treed sites, and while you can see your neighbour's trailer you don't really see/notice them or what they're doing.
One of the best parts of this campground is that the beach is right there. It's a busy beach (Ebeling Day Use), so get there early on hot days or weekends. Concession and laundromat are near the beach. The sites closest to the beach are not as well treed, but still ok. The lake is very shallow so you can go out for a long time and it's only at your knees (perfect for kids!), and there are several playgrounds scattered throughout the campground.
The only thing on my wishlist here is powered sites (all sites are unserviced). |
